Cultivating Confidence
Confiding = Confidence
Finding people we can confide in is weaving gems into the tapestry of our lives.
It’s not easy finding those ones that matter to you, and you to them.
It takes cultivating – taking risks and sharing from your heart many times - over time.
We all want to be known – ‘gotten’.
When we leave this life we want our imprint to be felt and held in our loved ones, and those that matter.
Being known to another is like being known to ourselves….it never stops…it’s ongoing. There is a constant revealing to ourselves, and then if we choose, to others (that matter).
The degree we want to know ourselves is the degree we want to be known. When we know someone else knows what we are going through, and gets us, that’s what gives us confidence.
It creates a web, network, and a safety net under the tightrope of our lives.
We waiver, and knowing others know, who care about us, steadies us.
We fall, and knowing others we care about know, catches us and helps us rise.
Find those ones – you don’t have to say anything too and you can say anything too.
